Comments: Andrew is a member of the notorious 1661 racing team. Andrew keeps his head down and lets his driving do the talking. A top 6 driver who will be fancied to have a grat 2009 season.

Gary Grimsley - No 2

Car: Stealth

Major Titles: 2008 Newcomer of the year

Comments: 2008 was Gary's rookie season with the midgets after a few years out of motor racing. AKA Dobbin has previously raced dirt oval bangers which, meant that it was like a duck to water when joining the midgets.

Marc Deland - No 15

Car: SRV

Major Titles: 2009 Rookie Season

Comments: The Brummy Gardener will start his racing career with the Grand Prix Midgets. Son of the late Gordon Deland from the National Hot Rod scene. Marc has purchased H's blue baby and after a run out at the Grimley fun day says 'they look a lot slower when your watching'.

Geoff Bunn - No 28

Car: Burton Ford

Major Titles: 2008 British Champion, 2008 Graham Hill Trophy

Comments: Despite coming from Coventry Geoff had a fantastic season in 2008. The much experianced man from the midlands has raced Legends, F2 and Superstox prior to coming to the Midget formula. When he is in the right mood Geoff can win from anywhere on the grid.

Cliff Bunn - No 23

Steve Young - No 59

Car: Mk18 Dastle 16V

Major Titles:  2007 British Champion

Comments: Former F2 and Superstox driver from Coventry. Steve has a very confident racing style with his back end hanging out around each corner. Wet specialist - if it rained every meeting he would be National Points Champion!

Nigel Robinson - No 67

Car: BMC Dart

Major Titles: 2007 National Champion

Comments: Claims to be the best looking Grand Prix Midget racing driver in the club (probably ever). If Nigel can learn how to set up a car he could be a threat however his vindaloo hot and cold performances will need to improve in 2009

Neil Clarke - No 77

Car: Sidewinder (barbie car)

Major Titles: TBC (always seem to be the bridesmaid never the bride)

Comments: One of the real characters of the club - the man from Brum will help anyone with advice or repairs even if they don't ask for it. His passion for racing is the same today as it was when he first started racing before the war.

Allen Herbert - No 76

Car: TBC

Major Titles: TBC

Comments: 2009 Mr Chairman or sicknote - due to his converted ambulance. The level headed man from the midlands has returned to the club after a couple of years out of the sport.

Gordon Pooley - No 33

Car: Scorpian MkII

Major Titles: 2005 National Champion, 1998/1996 British Champion

Comments: Multi champion winner has been around the Midget club for many years. Gordon is a real racer and has said he would rather not race if he was not challanging for titles. Despite being one of the top drivers over the years the World title has eluded him however, never count him out in 2009.

Daniel Pooley - No 32

Car: Scorpian MkII

Major Titles: 2008 East Anglian Champion, 2008 West Country Challange Champion.

Comments: Younger brother to Jonathan is now starting to come out of the shadows and is showing he has the same driving ability as the rest of the Pooley clan. Daniel had his best season to date in 2008 and will be a real challange in 2009.

Jonathan Pooley - No 31

Car: Scorpian MkIII,

Major Titles: 2008 World Champion, 2008 Points Champion, 2008 National Champion

Comments: Jonathan is part of the infamous Pooley stables. The current scorpian is a third generation design and is currently the best presented car. Jonathan has come of age in the last two years and is getting better and better - one of the main men to beat in the formula.
